NBCCD Grad Show Promotional Design

Overview: Every year, the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design (NBCCD) hosts a grad show at the Beaverbrook Gallery in Fredericton, New Brunswick to showcase the best work of its graduates. The project aimed to design promotional materials that highlighted the creativity, design, and artistic journey of the students.
Objective: To create visually compelling promotional materials that captures the essence of the graduates' creative journey and the opportunities that lie ahead, in a limited timeframe.
Solution: Developed a narrative-driven design that depicted the college journey as a staircase, culminating in a figure entering a doorway with colorful bubbles symbolizing diverse opportunities. This design created a striking focal point and effectively conveyed the theme of creativity and growth.
Design Approach:
Narrative Theme: Illustrated the college journey as a staircase, symbolizing progression and growth, with a figure entering a doorway to represent new opportunities.
Visual Elements: Used colorful bubbles emerging from the doorway to signify the various creative opportunities available to students, creating a vibrant and dynamic visual.
Focal Point and Contrast: Employed strong contrast to make the doorway and bubbles the central focus, drawing viewers' attention and enhancing the design's impact.
Outcome: The design was well-received, praised for its creativity and ability to visually represent the students' journey and potential opportunities. The promotional materials effectively captured the show's theme and were used across social media, websites, posters, and postcards.
