Playground Exhibition Promotional Design

Overview: "Playground" is an exhibition featuring the boundless creativity of eight graduate artists from the Advanced Studio Practice program, spanning ceramics, jewelry-metal arts, textiles, paintings, and photography. The challenge was to create engaging promotional materials that captured the fun and playful essence of the exhibition while effectively conveying essential information.
Objective: To design promotional materials that are visually appealing and informative, enhancing the exhibition experience and reflecting the playful and colorful theme, all within tight deadlines and sustainability considerations.
Solution: Inspired by the playful and creative theme of "Playground," we developed a suite of promotional materials that were both vibrant and informative. The design approach involved using warm, summer-inspired colors and playful elements like monkey bars to evoke the essence of a playground. Additionally, based on my suggestion, we implemented a digital catalogue accessible via QR codes to address time constraints and promote sustainability.
Design Approach:
Fun and Playful Theme: Embraced a colorful, joyful design aesthetic using warm hues and playful playground elements like monkey bars, reflecting the exhibition's theme.
Visual Consistency: Ensured cohesion across all promotional materials, including posters, social media content, website layout, and a digital catalogue. This maintained a unified look that aligned with the playful theme.
Innovative and Sustainable Solutions: Suggested and executed a digital catalogue accessible through QR codes placed throughout the exhibition. This approach not only met the tight deadline but also enhanced sustainability by reducing printed materials, while still offering a limited number of print versions for those who wanted a physical keepsake.
Outcome: The promotional materials were well-received, effectively capturing the playful spirit of the exhibition and providing clear, essential information. The digital catalogue approach was particularly successful, increasing traffic to the college website and supporting sustainability goals. The project showcased my ability to blend creative vision with strategic execution under tight deadlines.
